Arthur Clayton Emrick has been collecting fragrances for almost two decades.
He is a mostly self taught perfumer with a love of chemistry and experiment forged through his previous experience in the fields of beer/wine making and the culinary arts.
Growing up in an extremely rural part of Michigan, he has always felt a deep connection to the natural world and was inspired by the scents of that ecological paradise: wild flowers, grasses, deep woods, and the rivers and lakes of his childhood.
He currently resides in Canandaigua, NY where he operates Jinx with his wife Jackie Emrick, the brand’s creative director, and their mutual friend Annie Gordinier, the brand’s designer and digital marketer.
