ROZA MOSHU
Before I nailed down the formula for Roza Ruh I had tried countless iterations. As fellow perfume enthusiast Ryan Schoennher pointed out in his recent Instagram review of Roza Ruh, there are some oud perfumes with rose and some rose perfumes with oud, I wasn’t sure exactly where I wanted to fall on that axis and that was only one question. The next question: what about musk? How much musk? I knew at the onset of this journey that I wanted a rose perfume to be front and center in the first collection. Back in the Kickstarter days when I was trying to secure the final bit of funding I needed I released four samples, one of which was named Misk Piramit. Misk Piramit was my take on a raspberry rose with lots of animalics. Ultimately I didn’t quite like the raspberry component and set the formula aside for the time being. One thing I did like about it, was the use of Siberian musk infused jasmine, just enough to turn the red rose into a slightly purple hue.
in effect what you have here is an early rendition of Roza Ruh, very very similar in composition to the one in our debut collection.
1. in addition to the Tibetan musk in Roza Ruh there is also a massive dose of Siberian deer musk, castoreum and civet paste.
2. There is an addition of musk infused jasmine
3. there are a few different spices in this composition
4. the whole composition has been sitting on spent Tibetan musk grains for the last 5 months, gently infusing away.
5. there was a small addition of Jinkoh store Hainan Essenza (about 1 gram for 3 bottles)
TOP:Rosewood, bergamot, spices
HEART: Royal taif rose, rose de mai, siberian musk infused jasmine, clementine, civet
BASE: Cambodian oud, indonesian oud, tibetan musk, castoreum, white ambergris
